By downloading, installing, or using Petal ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Petal is a period and cycle tracking application designed to help you monitor your menstrual health. The App is provided by Petal ("we", "us", "our").

Petal is a 100% offline period tracker that allows you to:

Track your menstrual cycle, period dates, and flow intensity
Log daily mood, symptoms, and energy levels
View cycle predictions and ovulation estimates
Set reminders for upcoming periods and ovulation
Secure your data with an optional passcode lock

All data is stored locally on your device. No account or internet connection is required to use the App.

The App provides estimates and predictions based on the data you enter. These are for informational and tracking purposes only. You should:

Not rely on Petal for birth control or contraception
Not use Petal to self-diagnose medical conditions
Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice
Always consult a doctor if you experience irregular cycles or concerning symptoms

We are not liable for any health decisions made based on information provided by the App.

Free Trial

Petal offers a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. The trial begins when you first open the App. No payment information is required for the trial.

Lifetime Purchase

After the trial period, you can unlock Petal permanently with a one-time In-App Purchase:

This is a non-consumable purchase — you pay once and own it forever
No subscriptions, no recurring charges, no hidden fees
Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store
The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on other devices

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

🔐 Your Data

Your data belongs to you. Since Petal is 100% offline:

All data is stored on your device only
We have no access to your data at any time
Deleting the App will permanently delete all your data
We cannot recover your data if you delete the App
You are responsible for backing up your device if you wish to preserve your data

✅ Acceptable Use

By using Petal, you agree to:

Use the App only for its intended purpose of personal health tracking
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
Not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App

📱 Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, and content, is the intellectual property of Petal and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The data you enter into the App remains your property. We claim no ownership over your personal health data.

⚠️ Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We do not guarantee the accuracy of cycle predictions or health estimates
We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, or software updates
We are not liable for any health decisions or outcomes based on information from the App
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App

🚫 Termination

You may stop using Petal at any time by deleting the App from your device. Since there is no account or subscription, there is nothing to cancel.

We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time, but your purchased access and locally stored data will remain unaffected.

🔄 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be communicated through:

Updating the "Last Updated" date on this page
App update release notes when applicable

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
